"The Pier" Giclee Canvas Print

Created with layers of port moody vintage archives, ink, paint and my own photography. The ephemera gives you a sense of time and history and then brings you to the present with recent photos of the landscape.

This GICLEE CANVAS PRINT was printed in Canada.

There are three basic requirements that must be met when claiming GICLEE (pronounced zhee-clay):

1. high resolution (NO LESS THAN 300 dpi)

2. archival paper (won’t change color or degrade in quality over time-acid free)

3. pigment-based inks that have a longer lifespan (anywhere from 100-200 years) instead of dye based inks that fade over time.

The type of printer used for giclee printing is usually a larger format model that specifically uses pigment-based inks and can hold 8 - 12 color ink cartridges. Generally, the more inks that are used, the more sophisticated the color range will be on final output.

This is an STRETCHED CANVAS with no frame, wire assembled on back for easy hanging.
